COMPUTER SOCIETY OF INDIA - TSEC CHAPTER
In August 2008, CSI-TSEC had one of its biggest events, the Ankit Fadia Ethical Hacking Seminar, which had over 900 people attending from just three of our neighbouring colleges. This has been the biggest stand-alone event ever conducted in TSEC. In 2009, CSI-TSEC was also part of organizing a national level convention - Invent 2009. It was conducted by the CSI Mumbai Chapter which had more than 3000 participants. CSI-TSEC was the main hosting college along with 8 other colleges that made this event a huge success that it was.
CSI-TSEC also initiated an Online Coding Competition - TSEC Coding League, which saw a participation of people from 5 to 6 colleges. Impressed by the organization and response generated by our events, CSI-INDIA made CSI-TSEC an Independent Student Branch.
CSI TSEC is currently run under the able guidance of its Branch Counsellor Dr. Archana B. Patankar

Industrial Visit: Chandigarh , Manali & Amritsar
CSI-TSEC organized the much awaited IV to Chandigarh, Manali and Amritsar.
We visited the Amartex textiles industry at Chandigarh and also witnessed the mesmerizing architecture of the rock garden. Manali was picturesque in everyway with the snow clad mountains. There we visited the hydroelectric power station which was very informative. Amritsar gave a golden touch to the trip. There was the feeling of serenity at the golden temple and patriotism at the Jhalliawalla bagh and Wagha border. This was one of the best trips organized by CSI-TSEC and it has left its imprints on the memories of all.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT: Pune & Kerala
The IV of 2012 was planned to the serene and beautiful Kerala.
We visited Infosys, Pune where we attended a seminar held by the some of the executives at Infosys. It was not only very informative but also gave us a basic idea of how a corporate company functions.
Following the visit to Infosys, we had eight days packed with fun and excitement. From the tea gardens in Munnar to the backwaters in Alleppy to the amazing jungle safari in Thekkady we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it became a trip to be cherished.
Industrial Visit: GOA
The Computer Society of India at TSEC has received recognition year after year for planning some of the best industrial visits this college has seen and we strive every year to keep the banner of CSI-TSEC flying high.
This year was no different. Our industrial visit in January 2011 was planned to the beautiful beaches of GOA!
On one hand we planned a visit to Mazgaon port while on the other there were adventure sports at the pristine Baga beach. Goa provided us with the perfect background setting to showcase what we pledge every year: To bring about that perfect balance between work and fun.
A week in the scenic state of Goa guaranteed that the industrial visit was a mega success and we ensured that everyone returned home with wonderful memories of the industry , beaches, and loads of new friends.

RUBIX is an inter-college fest organized by CSI-TSEC every year in the even semester. It is an international level Technical Festival and has been the pride of CSI-TSEC since its inception.
Rubix 2013 was another shining, jevel that adorned the crown at CSI-TSEC. It took place on the 17th,18th,19th of february 2013. There were various seminars organized such as cyber forensics, mobile making, mobile operated bots, HTML-5, and also and inteeresting seminar by BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre).
These seminars were like food for the young clever minds of our college as well as the others through the city. Apart from the workshops there were brainteasing fun events like CODEZILLA,DEBUGGER,and MIXED CODING each of which were one of a kind.
RUBIX-2013 was grand in everyway and we received great response from colleges all over mumbai.
RUBIX 2012 was another stepping stone to success for CSI-TSEC. It had events like Light-painting, Photoshop and workshops on Flash and Information Security. The workshops on Java and C/C++ along with PHP provided a great deal of knowledge for the budding minds interested in various softwares. The workshop on Android applications had a very positive response from the participants. RUBIX went international again this year with the online coding competition called Codezilla which had coders taking part from all over the world.
The event also had games like Rapid Chess that challenged the minds of the participants. There were many competitions like the Clan Wars and Robothon and fun events like Abducted and Sold Out. Sold Out was one of the most successful and exciting events held in Rubix. It was a fun event based on football wherein there were two levels, the first one being a quiz on football and the second one was an auction for football players. It was a very diffrerent and one of a kind event that was enjoyd by all. The teams had to choose their football players and make a team and compete against each other in FIFA 2012!!! It was a pure delight for all football fans. These events saw huge participation from colleges all over Mumbai.
RUBIX was a huge success and because of its great response it has become one of the biggest and most awaited technical festivals among all the engineering colleges in Mumbai.
RUBIX gets bigger every year. This year marked the 10th anniversary of CSI-TSEC and we had obviously planned a bigger and better technical festival. RUBIX 2011 took place on the 16th, 18th and 19th of February 2011. We also introduced our mascot – Rubixius this year and he was, according to legend, a Greek god and inventor of the Rubik's Cube.
The events lined up for RUBIX 2011 were plenty. We had a many workshops like Web 2.0, Linux, Photoshop and Animation. We also added competitions to the list of all the rest. The new competitions that we had included Exterminator which was a robot war, Hurdle Race which was a robot race, Ad Mad, Green Film Competition and our biggest one of all was Sold Out. Sold Out was a quiz and game based on football where the teams participating could earn points and bid for players to build a team of their own. Then they played the matches on a stimulator and watched the outcome of all their decisions.
Codezilla attracted international coders along with many competitors from India this year! There was a huge response from a surprising number of 14 countries!
